Hi ! I have just installed the plugin BackUpWordPress in 6 of my websites. In one of them, after i made a complete back up, i received a message that fills almost all the page.

zip warning: No such file or directory

Can someone help me please, to know what it can be ? Thank you very much, have a nice day/night. :-) Daniel

This morning I was updating my website (Epilepsy Wales) when I noticed a few of my plug-ins were out of date. A couple (not sure which I'm afraid) would not update so I logged out. When I tried to get back in to the website I simple got the message

BackUpWordPress will not work on this site. ( PHP Version 5.2.6 is unsupported )

and a back symbol which does not take me back to the website. At present I cannot get into the website, which has effectively crashed.

I must point out that I do not use coding on my website at all - simply text. In other words I more of a content manager rather than designer

I ma using a Mac (Yosemite). Any advice Would be very gratefully received.

I am trying to backup WP and this is the second plugin that hasn't been working. The backup progress circle has been spinning (for 2 hours now) and it hasn't populated the (calculating the size of your backup…) yet. How do I know if it is working properly after 2 hours?

With WordPress 4.3.1 and WordPress 4.1.1

using BackUpWordPress Version 3.2.7 and nginx/1.2.1 , php5-fpm v2.4.0
loading calculating the size of your backup… and stuck!

If I select "Database only" works and show me the Size

if I select "file only" and I go to "Excluded" the 3 folder
wp-content , wp-admin , wp-includes are stuck

If I try to exclude them it show the same message

Downloaded the latest version of the plug in (3.2.7) and when I tried to activate it I got the following error:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Warning: require_once(xxxxx/wp-content/plugins/backup-with-restore/classes/class-setup.php)

Looking in the directory that file is indeed not there.

Plugin will not activate at all.

Hi, hosting site on GoDaddy. BackUpWordPress previously worked no problems. Suddenly now getting error message "No valid archive method found." Under BackUpWordPress/Help/Server Info ZipArchive is Yes and zip command is zip. Latest version running. Tried running again and same error and the download link it produces only forces redirect to dashboard home page.

Please advise.

Thank you

Hi Guys, I am troubleshooting a server running LEMP with WP. Not sure it is a BackUpWordPress problem. But the logs are saying the following. Looks like there's something wrong in the server.php

Can anyone help me ? Thanks

I just set up a new WP site on a new webhost (fatcow.com) and the backup seems to start and within a few seconds it stops with nothing done. I haven't contacted server admin as I'm not sure what to ask. I use this plugin on many sites where it works flawlessly, so I am hoping there is something that can be tweaked somewhere. I copied the 'server info' and it is here:

On a site using ALTERNATE_WP_CRON with weekly backups I'm seeing files saved with odd file types. e.g. .zip.TXSCRH or .zip.59cTJ6.

When this occurs, no email is sent and the main plugin screen does not claim to have made a backup.

Any ideas?

Hi
I have two clean installs of wordpress 4.4, one multisite and the other standard. No other plugins are installed. The plugin installs with no errors.

BackupWordPressis working OK on my production site on 4.3.1

I had some other weird things going on in my test environment so I decided to start a clean test install. B for BackupWordPress was the first plugin to install, and as I say in the title the Run Now, Settings and Delete links are missing.

Hello,
today I wanted to make a new page with new pictures. I created a page and loaded up some pictures, but now I can not longer upload any more picture...
So I thought that I should make an update.
First I tried to make a backup, but that failed. It was not possible?!
So I tried to update WordPress, but this failed also.
And I can not update the plugins BackUpWordPress, Jetpack by WordPress, WPBakery Visual Composer neither, all my tries to update are failing.

What is the problem? Can anybody help?

Thanks in advance.

hello, I want to backup the WP site to an external hard drive instead of
wp-content/backupwordpress-e46c58af99-backups

don't see a way to change the backup target location in backupwordpress plugin tho

not much point in trying to avoid a computer site crash if the backup is on the same computer.

I am on localhost on my computer not live on the internet if that matters.

thanks!

Hi,

Just so you know, manual back ups were working with older versions of WordPress, and older versions of the BackWordpress, but as from today, I updated to latest WordPress, and latest BackUpWordpress, and now manual backups are not working at all.

I am also using Heart Internet, so I fired them an email, and they said this:

"I suspect this is due to the loopback connection prohibition we have in place that will prevent a script loading data from itself. I seem to remember that while there are workrounds for this, it is not possible to put a workround in place for a backup script due to the way it works. "

Which is strange, because like I said, older versions of WP, and BUWP were working with manual backups.

So surely that indicates the software has changed?

In the UK, Heart Internet are massive, and host a lot of WP sites, so it might be worth looking into why this is not working from a coding point of view for the software developers.

Hi there,

I installed BackUpWordPress the other day on my business site. It seems to automatically make backups okay. Though I've not tried performing a restore yet, the zipped backup files appear to contain the right site files and directories.

However, when I click Download on either a daily database or weekly complete backup, I receive the following error (where I have replaced the actual filename with [backupfilename]):

Not Found

The requested URL /wp-content/backupwordpress-76f01721a7-backups/[backupfilename].zip was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I am able to successfully see and download the backup files via my cPanel's File Manager. The file paths and names indicated in the error messages (like the above quoted one) are actually correct.

Any ideas why I cannot download it via the Download link within Tools > Backups though?

Hi, last few days (this seems to coincide with my updating to 3.4.3 Backupwordpress but maybe not), my backup files have become HUGE. They were under 100mg before and now they're supposed 2GB. I say supposedly because when I try to download the big files, I get a "File can't be found" link. Here are a couple of screenshots to show you what I mean:

I've checked my spam box so it's not excessive # of spam mail that's causing the sudden 20x jump in size. Can someone help me? This is really frustrating. Thanks!

Hi,

When I start new backup (files + database), the plugin is putting ALL files from the server into the backup file, which is more than 1GB in size as there are some other sites on our server besides the one that I'm working on.

This started to happen with the latest plugin release I believe.

Any solutions?

Kind regards,
Nik
